Gong Dance Of Borneo

Borneo has a lot of art of dance, one dance gong of East Kalimantan. Gong dance, just as the name suggests, is a dance that is played using a musical gong. The dance itself describes thetenderness of a girl, who writhed like a rice. This dance isperformed by a girl dressed in traditional Dayak Kenyah. Body andhand movements are slow and gentle, and the dominance of bird feathers in her clothing style is the hallmark that we can see in this dance.


If Kancet Pepatay describe masculinity and virility Dayak Kenyah,otherwise Kancet Ledo depict gentleness of a girl like ameandering rice gently blown by wind. This dance is performed by a woman wearing the traditional clothing of Dayak Kenyah and thetwo hands holding a series of tail feathers of hornbills. This dance is usually danced on a gong, so Kancet Ledo also called Gong.

Giring-giring Dance of borneo

Giring-giring dance is a dance bells that inhabit the typical Ma'anyan BaritoDistrict East and District South Barito Central Kalimantan province.

The dance was popularized by the Dayak tribe Ma'anyan anddanced in happy events, welcoming guests as well as a distractionat parties or special events. In addition, dance Sleigh bells are alsoused for social dances in the youthers .it was showed to welcome guests, fun events, and also for kicks on special occasions. This dance is also called gangereng.

Dance the bells are equipped with bamboo sticks and thin (telangfilled with beans "piding" so as to produce a rhythmic sound with the sound which kangkanung (gamelan) by the dancers.

it is dancing with a single stomp dance floor held the stick in his left hand and right hand holding the bamboo while rocking the baby to get the sound, while the legs back and forth to the rhythm of the song.Harmony of hand and foot movements that lead to beauty and an attraction to watch it. This dance is usually there when events arefun, like a harvest festival, or celebration, or staring / tiwah, which is usually the young and old come to have fun playing softly in kenungand drum sounds.

Gantar Dance Of Borneo

Borneo has a lot of art. Indonesia is an agrarian country where the population is working as a farmer. many dances that symbolize the life of the peasant like gantar dance. Gantar dance is a dance depicting the movement of people to plant rice. Stick depict pounder woodwhile bamboo and grains inside depict rice seed and its container.
This dance is quite popular and are often served in a welcoming guests and events etc.this dance is not only known by the Dayak tribeTunjung but also known by the Dayak tribe Benuaq. This dance can be divided into three versions of the dance Gantar Rayatn, GantarBusai and Gantar tight / Gantar Kusak.

Hudoq Dance Of Borneo

Kalimantan has many beautiful and interesting culture, Hudoq dance is one of the very interesting for foreign tourists. Hudoq is part of the ritual dance of Dayak Dayak Bahau and modang, are wont to do every completed manugal or grow rice, in September-October. All his movements, supposedly trusted down from heaven. Based on trust and Bahau Dayak Dayak tribe modang, Hudoq Dance was held to commemorate the services of their ancestors who were in the nature of nirvana. They believe in the current planting season arrives ancestral spirits will always be around to guide and supervise their offspring. Their ancestors came from noble Asung or Great Mother which descended from the sky in the upstream region Apo Kayan Mahakam River. Then, the Hudoq luncheon hosted by the oars, by way of feeding the dancers who have been possessed by the incarnation of the god who wears a mask Hudoq. After lunch, paddle also communicated with the Hudoq, called the landmark Hudoq. This communication, the Dayak language polite and refined, which can only be translated by the paddle. MANDAU DANCE OF BORNEO

Mandau dance is one of the various types of dance central Kalimantan Dayak tribes. looking of this dance names is certainly using one weapon that is typical of Dayak Talawang  and Mandau. mandau is a weapon is a machete and talawang is a shield. . According to the Dayak tribe itself, Dance Mandau symbolic of the Dayak community spirit in defending the dignity and status. It also symbolizes virility Dance Mandau Dayak tribes in dealing with all sorts of challenges in the aspects of life.  In addition to this dance tiu also a portrait of how the Dayak tribe defend his homeland or territory . In every show or dance offerings Mandau lacks with rhythm sonority Gandang and Garantung. Harmonization of these traditional music devices led to the rhythm of passion, as if to invite those who heard and witnessed the offering of Dance Mandau increasingly excited as the Dayak warriors who are ready to jump into the battlefield
